Stefan: Even though we went ahead and got pegged back, this is a game United probably would have lost last season. We're still improving and there’s plenty to build on. If you can’t win, at least make sure you don’t lose.

Eric: Lucky with the corner decision, but the ref was awful in letting them get away with so many fouls. There should have been more added time too.

Danny: Very scrappy. It happens. This is Premier League football. The fact we didn’t lose is the silver lining. We need to build confidence on the road.

Nick: We were definitely not rubbish. Overall we had the better chances. Shame we didn’t make any attacking changes. We just lack that quality on the bench to come on when the starting eleven isn’t firing.

Phil: I’m fine with that, a fair result in the end. We were terrible for most of the second half.

Nathan: Both goals came from giving them too much space to put a cross in and find a man. Apart from a daft five minutes we looked alright, maybe even the better team overall.

TheNewEra posted on RedCafe: Could have nicked it, I reckon with Mount on the pitch we might have taken all three points. Switched off for a couple of minutes and got punished, but the progress is clear.

Which players stood out according to our fans?

Jamie: Amad was brilliant. He got outmuscled for the goal but scored a cracking volley and almost won it for us.

Olivia T: Another solid shift from Casemiro. He scored a superb header, was a threat all over the pitch, and chipped in defensively when needed.

Pete Shaw: Really impressed by Luke Shaw. He was our standout in the backline today.
