United React | Fans discuss Everton defeat
United 0 - 1 Everton
Our unbeaten run end and we've put together some of the comments following on from the poor Monday night against the side managed by David Moyes.

There was two different topics among United fans after the match. Some were critical of the manager. The anger of other fans was focused on the players.
Is it time for Amorim to go?
Jonathan: Is Amorim the most stubborn manager ever in the Premier League? He refuses to take any accountability for his negative approach to the game and substitutes that contributed to an embarrassing defeat.
Jamie: Time for a change of manager again. To play five at the back against 10 men when chasing a game is ridiculous!
Harry: I will say Amorim bears some responsibility here, but it has to be noted that you absolutely cannot have all those shots and possession and fail to convert. With all that considered, I don't think we can gloss over how absolutely abysmal the players were in front of goal.
Nathan: United seem to simply be sticking because they are so scared of twisting.
Gaz: No excuse for the poor performance from the United team. We had no urgency in the game, no running at the defenders, in fact no running. You would have never seen that being allowed by Sir Alex Ferguson. Amorim is out of his depth, time for him to go!

The user Dansk posted on the Redcafe.net forum: We did not lose because someone flubbed a throw-in. We lost because the manager set the team up with five defenders at home against Everton and never shifted into an attacking plan even when we were a goal down, they were a man down and they clearly made no attempt to keep threatening us. It is the single greatest case of incompetence that I have ever seen in a lifetime of watching Premier League football.
The players were to blame according to these fans.
Melissa: As a United supporter, I am sadly not surprised by what unfolded. The players showed no effort last night and did not deserve to wear the United shirt. It was a disgrace.
Olivia T: Simply lofting the ball into the box is not enough. Whatever issues exist with the manager, the players must also take responsibility for their performance.

Luke: Which tactical, coaching or formation handbook tells you to take a throw-in while still standing on the pitch? If you can answer that first, then we can discuss the state of the tactics. As far as I am aware, if you cannot carry out something as basic as a throw-in, any form of tactical instruction will be beyond you.
Sammy: United’s performance was extremely poor. The team failed to create sufficient attacking chances, moving the ball slowly and sideways even against ten men, which reflected a lack of confidence and creativity.
