Leeds 1 - 1 United
An injury hit United side was probably unlucky not to win at Elland Road

Just past the half hour, Luke Shaw’s inswinging corner picked out Lisandro Martinez, who did well to lay the ball off for Diogo Dalot. The Portuguese full back went for a first time effort but leant back as he struck it, sending the ball high over the crossbar.
After that tight first 45 minutes, the hosts started the second half the better and went ahead through Brenden Aaronson's cool finish, but Matheus Cunha's instant reply, combined with Joshua Zirkzee's introduction from the bench, saw us take the initiative for a long spell from then on.
Amorim’s side went close to taking the lead soon after, with another golden opening carved out by Dorgu’s powerful surge into the area. The former Lecce full back pulled the ball back perfectly for Cunha, whose curling effort clipped the post and seemed to have Perri beaten.
Leeds nearly turned the game on its head moments later when Joel Piroe was thrown on and immediately got involved as the hosts poured forward. A clever pass from Stach set up the Dutchman, who aimed for the top corner but sent his shot just over with too much on it.
The context of the season so far
Given how this Premier League campaign is shaping up, it is probably a decent point for Ruben Amorim’s side, particularly after going behind. The manager will feel we might have nicked it at the end when Matheus Cunha rattled the post, but the home side carried a threat throughout and had chances of their own late on.
This is never an easy place to visit, especially with so many first team regulars missing, and the players deserve credit for quietening the crowd for long spells and for reacting quickly to the Leeds opener.
Attention now turns to another tough trip on the road, with Burnley waiting at Turf Moor on Wednesday night.
