United Review | Bournemouth away
Bournemouth 2 - 2 United
A raucous away end and some controversial decisions

We picked up what could be a crucial point in the quest for Champions League qualification, after a pulsating draw.
Following December’s slightly manic 4-4 at Old Trafford, there were just as many talking points on a Friday trip to the south coast.

| United fans created an amazing atmosphere |
Resilience was required despite going ahead through Bruno Fernandes’s 61st-minute penalty, which lit the fuse on an explosive second half.
Just over six minutes later, Ryan Christie levelled, but only after Amad had been left floored inside the box at the other end. Most United fans agreed that should have been a penalty (as did the pundits aside from Jamie Redknapp).
There was more drama to come
However, this United side clearly has something about them and the players didn’t lie down. A flick off Bournemouth's James Hill from Fernandes’s corner restored our advantage, before Harry Maguire was red carded after a tug on Evanilson.
Junior Kroupi managed go keep his composure amongst the chaos to equalise but despite heavy pressure in the final 10 minutes, with a man less, Michael Carrick’s side weathered the storm. The red cardultimately impacted on how the team played out the the final moments of the match.
We still had a couple of moments in attack but perhaps lacked composure. Perhaps understandable after a challenging match.
This was a good point all things considered. Just a pity we have to wait three weeks for our next game.
One fan told us walking out of the ground: "One point closer to the Champions League. That's how we have to look at things now. Onwards and upwards."
