United 5 - 1 Leeds
Fans back at Old Trafford and we score five. Marvelous day.

Our top scorer from last term carried on where he left off with the Portuguese midfielder setting us on our way to a crushing 5-1 win with our first goal of the season.
Leeds briefly equalised early in the second half, but two more goals from Bruno, plus efforts from Mason and Fred, sealed the perfect return for an Old Trafford full house.
New defender Raphael Varane, whose transfer from Real Madrid was confirmed before kick-off, was introduced to the United faithful and received a rousing standing ovation, setting the tone for a memorable campaign opener.
All of this provided the ideal moment for summer signing Jadon Sancho to make his debut, replacing Daniel James in the 74th minute to a roar that nearly matched the celebrations for United’s goals.
Which players stood out the most?
Victor Lindelof | Good work defensively, and a superb long ball to set up Bruno Fernandes for his hat trick. Needs to carry on with this level of performance as you'd imagine he'll be competing with Varane now.
Harry Maguire | Solid defensive organisation and a commanding presence at the back. Leeds had their moments on set pieces but were never really allowed to threaten.
Fred | He and Pogba could have done more to close down Ayling’s strike, but aside from that, the Brazillian was lively in midfield and capped off a fine display with a goal of his own.
Paul Pogba | Is this the one that we’ve waited for? Pogba would have been man of the match on any other day with his four assists, but the man on the end of two of those took it instead because...
Bruno Fernandes | Once again showed why he’s the heartbeat of United’s attack. Ruthless in front of goal, calm under pressure, and clinical when it mattered most.
