United React | First league win of the season
United 3 - 2 Burnley
Three points at last

Captain Bruno Fernandes held his nerve to score a stoppage-time penalty and secure a crucial win over Burnley. A win is a win, obviously, but some obvious problems remain.
Let’s explore some of the best reaction
Tony: Nothing has really changed. We are still in the same situation, with chances being missed and yet another goalkeeping error. Something has to give.
Andy: United were fortunate to secure a win. Opportunities were squandered and defensive mistakes proved costly. Over the years, very little seems to have changed. There have been occasional glimpses of quality football, but overall, the team’s standards remain inconsistent. Having been a fan for 55 years, there was once a time when I could not wait to watch us play. Now, aside from a few exceptions in recent seasons, I watch with a sense of frustration at the football on display. The club appears to have lost its way, failing repeatedly to deliver consistent, high-quality performances.
Pat: United showed some good football, particularly in the first half, yet the match should have been settled by the interval. Once again, the absence of a reliable goalkeeper was felt.
Daniel: Finally, a win to celebrate. It should have come more easily, but this seems to be United’s style nowadays. It is unfortunate to see Matheus Cunha injured, as he is central to the team’s cohesion. The challenge now is to maintain consistency, especially with the Manchester derby approaching. After the international break, there is hope that the momentum can continue. Ruben Amorim still requires time, and it is important that he is supported.
Olivia T: It was great to see Mbeumo score his first league goal. He was a threat all game and is going to be a key player for us this season.
