United Preview | Brighton at home
United v Brighton & Hove Albion preview
A chance to build some momentum
Author | Lee Francis
We’ll be looking to make it three Premier League wins in a row when Brighton visit Old Trafford on Saturday.
After the international break, we carried the momentum from our 2-0 win over Sunderland into a hard-fought 2-1 triumph at Anfield against Liverpool. Confidence is high, but Brighton will present another tough test.
The Seagulls have bounced back well themselves, winning each of their home games following that unlucky 1-0 defeat to Arsenal in their season opener.
How are United fans feeling?
After the win at Anfield, many fans shared their delight with us.

Liam C told us: "Brighton is probably our biggest game of the season now. For the first time in ages, we are favourites to win. This adds a different level of pressure."
Team news for both sides
In his pre-match conference, Ruben Amorim told the media: "We have some doubts, we had some issues in the week with Harry Maguire and Mason Mount. Knocks, nothing serious and we will see tomorrow."
Noussair Mazraoui and Ayden Heaven were fit enough to sit on the bench at Anfield despite doubts beforehand. They could play some part against Brighton.
Amorim will have some selection decisions to make, particularly whether to stick with the side that beat Liverpool or bring back players like Leny Yoro or Benjamin Sesko.
Brighton, meanwhile, are hoping Kaoru Mitoma can shake off a knock to face us. They will also assess Joel Veltman, Brajan Gruda and Diego Gomez ahead of the trip. Jack Hinshelwood, Solly March and Adam Webster are out injured.

Amad has hailed his growing link-up with Bryan Mbeumo, saying the pair are building a strong bond on and off the pitch that can only benefit United.
Their connection came to life almost instantly at Anfield, Amad supplying the pass and Mbeumo burying a cool finish to set the tone in that memorable 2-1 victory over Liverpool.
Both operating on the right, the duo look to be forming the kind of partnership that gets United fans talking, offering energy, invention and a real threat going forward.
Speaking to club media, our no.16 praised Mbeumo’s obvious quality, something he showed back at Brentford, and he is confident the combination can keep improving.
