David: Three wins in succession and we appear to be gaining real momentum. There is a growing sense that this revamped squad poses a far greater threat, giving defence new reasons for concern. It feels as though something positive may finally be taking shape.

Liam C: Cunha is becoming a cult hero already. A fantastic player.

Robert: An improved display, aided by a Brighton side well below their usual standards, though perhaps because we are becoming more difficult to face. The collective effort is beginning to shine through, even if a few individuals are still adjusting. A major step forward and, for the first time in around 15 years, a genuine feeling that better times could be on the horizon.

Mikey: The formation felt notably fluid against Brighton, with every player committed to tracking back. It marked a significant shift in attitude right across the team.

Karl: The players pressed intelligently and worked tirelessly throughout. They dealt with some unusual decisions from the officials without allowing it to disrupt their rhythm. Signs of growth are clear, and if consistency follows, the possibilities are intriguing. Cunha, Mbeumo and Sesko look dangerous in attack and there is a sense of increased resilience at the back, which many will hope continues.

Phil: Casemiro was outstanding. He scored, created the opening goal and remained a constant defensive presence. He blocked a shot, made a crucial headed clearance, intercepted passes, and won the ball back repeatedly to launch fresh attacks.

Amy: Interested to see how rival supporters try to twist this one. It was the best  performance of the season, with Mbeumo looking superb and Lammens appearing a clear step up from Onana. Long may it continue.

Oranges038 posted on the RedCafe forum: “Good performance. The positioning was adjusted early, as it appeared they were going to exploit the wide areas. The midfield press was executed brilliantly, with Shaw stepping up to great effect, which contributed to two goals.”

RedMancs posted on the same forum: “It’s been a long time, but we played superbly! Everyone fought, chased, ran, supported each other, and showed great determination and resilience. Last season, if a team started to get back at us we would collapse, but not this time. The boss held his nerve, and the players responded.”
