The forward also claimed our club’s Player of the Month award for the same period, making it his second trophy since arriving from Brentford in the summer.
October was a month to remember. Across three games, Mbeumo set up the opener in our 2-0 win at Sunderland, scored early in the thrilling 2-1 victory at Liverpool, and netted a brace against Brighton at Old Trafford. His consistent impact ensured he finished ahead of seven other nominees in the voting.
Joining him in contention were Matty Cash (Aston Villa), Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle), Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Eli Junior Kroupi (Bournemouth), Nordi Mukiele (Sunderland), Igor Thiago (Brentford) and Jurrien Timber (Arsenal).
Despite his strong performances at Brentford, this is Mbeumo’s first overall Premier League award. He is only the second Cameroonian to win the accolade, following former Liverpool defender Joel Matip in February 2022. Our last player to take home the honour was Bruno Fernandes in March.
Mbeumo and fellow Red Senne Lammens have also been nominated for the PFA Premier League Fans’ Player of the Month award. They are shortlisted alongside Haaland, Kroupi, Mukiele and Arsenal defender Gabriel. Fans can make their vote count by heading to the Premier League website.

Sayali posted on Facebook: “Brilliant month for him. The brace against Brighton and the early goal at Anfield were massive. Congrats, Bryan!”
One United fan posted on X: “Amad and Mbeumo's chemistry is just something different, they are both defenders and forward at the same time. If Amad overlaps, Mbuemo comes and covers for him. This is just the beginning. Imagine them being fully synced. Well deserved Mbeumo.”
Sports City added on the same platform: “Brian Mbeumo has been nothing short of outstanding this season for Manchester United. Congratulations.”
