Full-time at Forest v Manchester United

After four defeats to Tottenham last season, including the painful loss in the UEFA Europa League final, this match offers a chance for redemption and the opportunity to enter the next international break with renewed confidence.

Team news

Lisandro Martínez continues his recovery and is edging closer to a long-awaited first-team return, having been out since early February.

Harry Maguire, who returned to the bench at The City Ground, has taken part in full training at Carrington this week. As a result, Martínez was the only senior player unavailable in the previous outing.

Our league record at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

This will be our seventh league visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which replaced the historic White Hart Lane.

A Bruno Fernandes penalty earned a draw on our first visit there in 2020, followed by two consecutive wins, 3-1 and 3-0, with Edinson Cavani scoring in both matches.

In 2023, a two-goal lead slipped away in a 2-2 draw, and the two most recent visits ended in defeat, 2-0 and 1-0.

A look at the opposition

Spurs began the season strongly under Thomas Frank, highlighted by an impressive 2-0 victory at Manchester City in their second match of the season. Yet, their home form has become a source of frustration for supporters. The north London side boast the best away record in the league, though they did fall to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup.

At their stadium, the picture is less encouraging. Their sole league win came against Burnley on the opening weekend, while the only other home point was earned in a 1-1 draw with bottom-placed Wolves.

The manager faces several selection concerns, with Lucas Bergvall the latest to join the injury list after suffering a concussion in the 1-0 home defeat to Chelsea. During an open training session ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with FC Copenhagen, Bergvall, Djed Spence and Mohammed Kudus were all notable absentees.

The hosts could also be without Yves Bissouma, Ben Davies, Radu Dragusin, Archie Gray, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Dominic Solanke and Kota Takai for the lunchtime kick-off.
