Depressing afternoon at Old Trafford and concerning signs on and off the pitch

Carrick made three changes to his side that were 4-0 winners over Sabah in the Champions League on Thursday. 

Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford all came into the starting line-up, with Noussair Mazraoui, Leny Yoro and Benjamin Šeško named amongst the substitutes.

How the game was lost

Erling Haaland's goal on the hour mark was originally disallowed, but after a lengthy VAR review, the Norwegian's strike was given, even though Enzo Fernandez appeared to be clearly offside and attempted to play the ball.

The away side played the majority of the game a man light, after Phil Foden's kick out at Bruno Fernandes in the first half, heightening the sense of frustration around Old Trafford.

Regardless of that VAR controversy, we didn't do enough on the day to worry 115 FC. A bad day in the M16 sunshine. Still no need to panic on the pitch but extremely concerning. 

In the stands, fans tried but the club are slowly killing our support.
