United 0 - 3 Bournemouth

Sack the players. Keep the manager for now

Another shambolic performance. I'm not normally one for booing the players off the pitch but they deserved that today.

A nightmare Sunday

Goals from Rayan, Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson secured all three points for the visitors.

The Reds found themselves two goals behind at half-time after Bournemouth struck twice in quick succession. Things did not improve after the break, with Evanilson adding a third to put the result beyond doubt. Lewis Cook's forward pass held up in the wind, allowing the Bournemouth striker to get beyond Senne Lammens and find the back of the net.

Bruno dropped

Fernandes' place in the starting eleven had been under scrutiny following his explosive comments after Wednesday's Champions League humiliation against Como. The midfielder blamed Carrick's tactics for United's 4-1 defeat, criticising the manager for failing to make changes during the match.

Carrick refused to reveal whether the Portugal international would be dropped when speaking to the media on Friday.

The decision was subsequently made, with Fernandes named among the substitutes as our winless run in all competitions stretched to eight matches.
