FA Cup 4th round | January 1999

In the hunt for that historic Treble, Ferguson’s United came from behind to snatch a memorable win on the way to glory. Even though this was a cup tie, Liverpool were always going to test us, and it was billed as a clash of strike forces: Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke against Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler.

Ken told us: “The start of the journey to the Treble. Fans and players gained so much belief from this win.”

FA Cup Final | May 1996

A late goal from Eric clinched the FA Cup and ensured United became the first side to win the double twice.

With just four minutes left, David James flapped at a cross and punched the ball only as far as Cantona, who was hovering at the edge of the box. In one smooth, instinctive motion, the skipper adjusted his- body and crashed a half-volley through a sea of Liverpool defenders and into the back of the net.

FA Cup Final | May 1977

The crowning glory in a memorable three seasons for United as we stopped them from winning the treble.

Early in the second half, three goals in five minutes decided the match. Stuart Pearson gave Manchester United the lead with a powerful strike, Jimmy Case responded with a spectacular equaliser for Liverpool, but the game was settled when a loose ball fell to Macari, whose fierce shot struck Greenhoff on the chest and looped past two defenders into the net, leaving Liverpool to rue their luck as United’s victory kept the treble out of reach.

FA Cup Quarter Final | March 2024

Fast forward now a few years to March 2024. We booked our spot in the FA Cup semi-finals with a thrilling, last-gasp 4-3 extra-time win over arch-rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford.

In the very last seconds of what was absolutely extraordinary 120 minutes, Amad Diallo broke away with Garnacho and coolly finished to seal a famous victory. Queue, carnage across the ground.
