PSG, meanwhile, have endured a difficult beginning, losing their first two matches and remaining one of five sides yet to pick up a point.

Skinner's side will want to recover from the weekend defeat

We head into this fixture off the back of a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa in the Women’s Super League on Saturday, marking our first league defeat of the season.

Team news

Celin Bizet Donnum will miss the chance to face her former club as she continues to recover from a back injury, while Millie Turner remains sidelined with a long-term knee issue.

With Turner out and Dominique Janssen suspended following her red card in our last European game, it’s not yet clear who will partner captain Maya Le Tissier at centre-back. Janssen, who still trained with the squad on Tuesday morning, has featured alongside Le Tissier in each of our last nine matches and in every game that Turner hasn’t started this season.

Is there history between the two sides?

PSG ended our hopes of qualifying for their first Women's Champions League group stage two seasons ago.

The return of a legend

One familiar face who could line up against us on Wednesday is former United goalkeeper Mary Earps, who was the focus of much discussion during the pre-match press conference.

Earps, a key part of the side that lifted the FA Cup in 2024 before making the move to Paris later that year, made over 100 appearances across five seasons at United and could now face her former teammates for the first time.
